Trekking to Choquequirao 5 Days / 4 Nihts.

Itinerary:


operator tours cusco DAY 1: CUSCO/ CHIQUISCA

We will leave Cusco at around 6:00 a.m. driving towards Cachora. After driving almost three hours we will arrive to Cachora (2800 masl) where we will have the lunch. Then we begin to walk for two and a half hours towards Capuliyoc pass (2750 m.a.s.l) where we will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the Apurimac river canyon. Finally, we will go down for two more hours towards our campsite in Chiquisca.


operator tours cusco DAY 2: CHIQUISCA/ CHOQUEQUIRAO

This day we continue go down to Playa Rosalina (1500 m.a.s.l.) really warm!! which will take one hour then we cross the Apurimac river climbing towards Santa Rosa, zigzagging up a steep slope today will be a little hard because we have to go up from 1500 m.a.s.l to 3080 m.a.s.l where is located the great Choquequirao don’t worry because we will climb slowly until Marampata having the lunch there afterward will continue until Choquequirao campsite where we will spend the night.


Peru Travel Tours DAY 3: CHOQUEQUIRAO

This day will be special because we will spend one full day into Choquequirao getting a guided tour into the complex to have then free time to explore by your self the ruins and of course you will have enough time to visit the high part called Hanan and lower parts called Urin appreciating the terraces built nearly of Apurimac river.


Tous Peru trek DAY 4: CHOQUEQUIRAO / CHIQUISCA

After have a nice day visiting Choquequirao all complex we will go down again taking the same trail until Apurimac River where we will take a refreshing dip in the waters of this river. Afterward we will have the lunch in Playa Rosalina resting there for around 1 hour then we will start to go up until Chiquisca campsite.


Tous Peru trek DAY 5: CHIQUISCA / CACHORA / CUSCO

We will leave as early as 5:00am to start to climb until Capuliyoc pass where we will start to descent to Cachora town once there will have lunch and finally we will drive with direction to Cusco arriving there at around 05:00 p.m.
